We are always in Alpine doing floors! Alpine is a fun city because there is so much being built, and there are areas with lots of rich history. Whether you’re building or renovating your home, we’re here to help you pick out the perfect carpet and hardwood for you.

If you are building, Carpets America can check off lots of the boxes on your list. We not only do carpet, hardwood, LVP, tile, gym floors, sports courts, and other flooring surfaces, we do blinds and area rugs! When building there are so many decisions to be made, doing as much as you can in one place can really simplify the process and save time.

Carpets America has been around since 1978. We’re experts in the business and we’ve seen it all. We pride ourselves in making sure our customers are well taken care of. We make sure the job’s done right. As mentioned above, there are many types of floors you can pick from. It can be helpful to come in with an idea of what you’d like in each area in your home, or we can give you our expert advice! Either way below is some information to help you start thinking about what you’d love in your home.

Carpet is our bread and butter. We install carpet in Alpine all the time! It’s commonly found in bedrooms, basements, and any where you’d like a soft area, especially if kiddos will be spending lots of time in that room. The shorter and tighter your carpet is, the more durable it will be. Longer, plusher carpets can be constructed in a durable way as well, but as a rule of thumb a short, tightly woven carpet will last longer.

Wood is a gorgeous, timeless option that is extremely popular in Alpine! Often the entire main floor of a home, and even sometimes other levels of a home are wood. Wood is a natural product, which means no two planks look alike. Another benefit to wood is that it increases the value of your home. Wood floors, like any hard surface, can scratch, so it’s important to protect them by adding felt pads to the bottom of furniture placed on top.
LVP is a new type of flooring that stands for “Luxury Vinyl Planking”. It’s a cheaper alternative to wood. The plastic planks have graphics printed on top to look like wood. Since LVP is not a natural product there are only 7-14 graphics of wood, so each plank isn’t unique and needs to be carefully installed so two matching planks are not installed next to each other. The advantages of LVP are that it’s affordable, durable, and decently scratch resistant.

Tile – We do lots of tile at Alpine homes, especially in bathrooms and laundry rooms. We can tile fireplaces, showers, backsplashes, and even entire walls.
Tile is cold to the touch but more durable than any other floor covering.
